Oil-Injected Screw Air Compressor: the main engine and the auxiliary engine

An oil-injected screw air compressor unit is mainly composed of two parts: the main engine and the auxiliary engine. The main engine includes the screw air compressor host and the main motor. The auxiliary engine includes the intake and exhaust system, oil injection and oil-gas separation system, cooling system, and control system. systems and electrical systems, etc.

Oil-Injected Screw Air Compressor:  working process

In the intake and exhaust system, after the free air passes through the intake filter to remove dust and impurities, it enters the suction port of the air compressor and mixes with the injected lubricating oil during the compression process. The compressed oil and gas mixture is discharged into the oil and gas separation barrel, undergoes primary and secondary oil and gas separation, and then is sent to the use system through the small pressure valve, rear cooler and gas-water separator.

In the oil injection and oil-gas separation system, when the screw air compressor is operating normally, the lubricating oil in the oil-gas separation barrel relies on the exhaust pressure of the air compressor and the pressure difference at the oil injection port to maintain flow in the circuit. Under the action of this pressure difference, the lubricating oil enters the oil cooler through the temperature control valve, and then passes through the oil filter to remove impurity particles. Most of the lubricating oil is sprayed into the compression chamber of the air compressor to lubricate, seal, and Cooling and noise reduction; the remaining lubricating oil is sprayed into the bearing chamber and speed-increasing gearbox respectively.

The part of oil sprayed into the compression chamber is discharged into the oil and gas separation barrel together with the compressed air. After centrifugal separation, most of the lubricating oil is separated, and a small amount of lubricating oil is secondary separated through the filter element and is separated by the secondary oil. The lubricating oil separated for the first time returns to the low-pressure end such as the suction port of the air compressor through the oil return pipe.
